Whether you are looking for a better league to run your poker, or a better place to play, check us out at any of our locations, and see why SFPT is the better choice.
But I’ve Had Poker and it Has Failed in the Past
Bar Poker, since its inception has had a number of “so-called” leagues formed to try to run poker tournaments. Why does it fail? This is due to a couple of reasons. The tournament director’s role has to be to focus on the tournament. Many in-house directors usually have too many other roles or responsibilities to run a quality tournament. Second, many of these leagues are formed by loose-cannon players that end up running loose-cannon tournaments. This brings in poor players and ends up costing the establishment in poor returns.
Our league consists of real poker professionals, that know and respect the game, and understand not only the players role, but the hosts role and importance. We do not tolerate problem players, and that translates to a better game that players enjoy to visit.
What Sets Our Tournaments Apart?
Our tournaments appeal to both types of poker crowds. Because we operate the most professional poker tournaments in the cities, players looking for the highest quality game play choose our league. We run a longer, single tournament, along with multiple single-table sit & go tournaments for points as well. Our tournaments last approximately 4 hours, and our consolation tournaments ensure that we keep as many of your customers at your location for longer and keep them spending money. We also focus on giving away lots of cash prizes while keeping our seasons short, meaning we attract the other type of poker crowd as well. All in all, we see very high attendance at each league location which leads to more customers coming through your doors and more spending.
Many of the other leagues either do not have big prize packages, or have a single major prize where players must compete against thousands of players to win. We give out major prizes such as a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, buyins to Heartland, Mid-States Poker, WPT, AND WSOP trips, and LOCALLY. This is in addition to the major CASH tournaments held throughout the seasons as well. Straight Flush Poker gives unreal prizes to real players.
What Else Makes Our League Different?
Focus On Quality – We take the high-stakes casino tournament experience very similar to the WPT and WSOP structures and bring it to your establishment, making our tournaments the most professional league in the Twin Cities.
Highest Quality Equipment – We use only the best when it comes to equipment: High quality 8-10 person padded tabletops and 13.5 gram custom poker chips.
Higher Per-Player Spending – Players collect points based on each finish, meaning they come back every single week.
Small League Size – Our league size is small in comparison to others, meaning players know they have a real shot to win our grand prizes. This increases attendance at each league location.
Big Grand Prizes – We have given prizes from Las Vegas trips and tournament buy-ins along with hotel packages to local WSOP, WPT HPT, and MN Poker Tour events. Players have a legitimate shot at winning these big prize packages.
Minimal League Fees – Low monthly membership fees mean both the league and the establishment prosper from poker night in more ways than one.
